Chicken-Friendly Farming

For over a century now, our chicken farming has been taking place in Slovenia’s natural countryside in close cooperation with over 240 countryside breeders and with respect to tradition and nature. A few years ago, Perutnina Ptuj was the first in Slovenia to establish the certified “chicken-friendly farming” method resembling the old-fashioned breeding in farmyards but with carefully controlled steps of the farm-to-fork cycle. The added value of the Natur Premium meat line is reflected in the meat structure; at the same time, we at Perutnina Ptuj also believe that this breeding method represents a step forward toward the direction of modern findings about the welfare of animals and continual development.
